Eddy Han

Eddy Han Country General Manager, Shopback Malaysia

Known for his track record in business-building, revenue generation and growth hacking, Eddy has held several top management roles at Digi, Maybank, Zomato, and Lowyat MSC prior to joining ShopBack Malaysia.

During his tenure with Lowyat MSC, he spearheaded the organisation’s businesses from a single website (www.lowyat.net) to a multi-platform digital media entity, increasing the organisation’s revenue to over 30% year-on-year growth.

Subsequently, he pioneered the launch of Zomato in Malaysia, and grew to 1 million active users within 16 months of operations.

Eddy was also the marketing strategist within Maybank’s Virtual Banking & Payments department, and later served as a Principal for Digi’s digital services arm; Digi-X.

Bringing over 20 years of professional experience, Eddy is now helming ShopBack Malaysia as the Country General Manager, taking care of business performance in all aspects with local and APAC teams to solidify and steer ShopBack to its next phase of growth.

Nicholas Sagau is the Group General Manager for Media Prima Digital the digital arm of Malaysia’s largest media conglomerates – Media Prima Berhad. He oversees the digital operation of the group. One of many role is driving the executing the Media Prima digital’s strategy in the rapidly disrupted media space. Nicholas is a council member of the Malaysia Digital Association.

He also heads Media Prima Labs, the in-house incubator of Media Prima Berhad to further extend the Group’s unique intellectual properties into the expanse of digital innovation and games. Media Prima Labs has to-date released 12 lifestyle/entertainment verticals in form of native app and 5 mobile games since the labs started operation in Nov 2015 with nearly 10 million downloads in total & monthly active user of 2.3 million.

WebTVAsia is a digital entertainment company that built Asia’s biggest multi platform video network with 450 million subscribers and 5.3 billion monthly views, counting among its platform partners of YouTube, Facebook, Netflix, Tencent, ByteDance, Weibo and Baidu. He was instrumental in ground breaking Asian campaigns like Youku-Tudou’s Little Apple viral video (500 mil views & 30,000 parodies), WebTVAsia Awards and Viral Fest Asia music festival (200 mil & 250 mil social media reach respectively). Prior to this, he was Head of Investment at Malaysian government agency Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).
